Kim Kardashian Allure Magazine With a growing beauty, fashion, and fitness empire, Kim Kardashian isn't merely a reality-show star—she's her own brand. See outtakes from her cover shoot with Michael Thompson in his New York City studio here. For more photographs and our interview with Kardashian, pick up the September issue of Allure.
Genuinely chipper at her 8:30 A.M. call time, Kardashian arrived at the shoot with her hair wet and in a bun and dressed casually in an oversize top and jeans. She got coffee and introduced herself to makeup artist Gucci Westman, saying, "I'm so excited to work with you; I'm obsessed with your makeup." (She's a beauty fanatic.)
ON MAINTAINING HER FIGURE: “I might have a little bit of cellulite. I might not be toned everywhere. I might struggle in this area or that. But accepting that just empowers me. I’m trying to eat better — which is a struggle. I like carbs. I didn’t [used to] work out. I do now, even when I’d rather sleep in. I’m a firm believer that you should be your best you.”
The reality star revealed, “Makeup is my life,” saying she prefers not to leave her home without her face done. In fact, at age 14, her father enrolled her into a beauty school to teach her the ins and outs of proper makeup. Its no wonder the celeb always looks breathlessly flawless. Speaking of flawless, she further explained “I am Armenian, so of course I am obsessed with laser hair removal! Arms, bikini, legs, underarms…my entire body is hairless.”
